Dr Simone Shaw has been a fully registered Clinical Psychologist since March 2008. In this capacity, she worked within a group private practice providing psychological treatment to adolescents and adults. Prior to this, Simone was a provisionally registered psychologist and worked within various Queensland government agencies providing treatment to children, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.
Throughout her 10 years of clinical practice, Simone’s therapeutic approaches have included the provision of cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, interpersonal therapy, clinical hypnosis and motivational interviewing. Simone adopts a flexible and practical approach to therapy in order to assist clients to learn effective skills and techniques to manage their self-reported areas of difficulty.
